Canterbury, Marlborough, and Nelson: fresh north-west winds, strong in exposed places near Cook Strait; showers about the main ranges, otherwise partly cloudy, with moderate temperatures. Buller and Westland: Westerlies, fresh at times; changeable and colder, with showers.
