Health Stamp Sales (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, August 21. Sales of health stamps in the first week of the campaign showed a drop of $8229 on the comparative period last year, the Federation of Health Camps said today. Of the main centres only Wellington, which was $1651 up on last year, showed an increase. Christchurch sales were down by $2745, Auckland sales by $2308, and Dunedin sales by $199. The largest increase, next to Wellington’s, was in Masterton — $l4OB. At the end of the first week of the campaign stamps worth $202,803 had been sold, compared with sales of $211,032 last year. The average purchase a household was down from 34c last year to 26c.
