Indian Cookery Demonstrations
Next month the Young Women’s Christian Association will commence a 10week course in Indian cookery, demonstrated by Mrs S. Prasad.
When an invitation was issued through the Y.W.C.A. newsletter for people interested in Indian cookery to get in touch with the association, it was by way of a feeler to see if there were enough people to make such a course worthwhile, said Miss Joan Kennington, the programme director.
The very first client to ring
the Y.W.C.A. was a man, she said, and since then twentyfour other pupils have enrolled.
Instruction will mainly be by demonstration, since the Y.W.C.A. is not sufficiently well equipped to allow for practical application. Nevertheless, it is hoped that sometime during the course some practical opportunities will be afforded.
