The New Zealander, J. Isaacs, who reached the quar-ter-finals of the Australian squash rackets championships, found the going too tough against the number three seed, C. Nancarrow. Nancarrow, of New South Wales, won, 9-3, 9-2, 9-1. New Zealand’s other quar-ter-final qualifier. Miss D. A. Stephens, lost her match to the Western Australian, Miss H. Muir, in the women’s championship. Miss Muir won, 9-1, 9-2, 9-2.

Points Winner. —A. Rudkin, the British and Empire bantamweight boxing champion, survived a cut left eye in the fourth round and went on to outpoint B. Brown (Philippines) in a 10-round contest.
