"STALINIST” INVASION
The Fendalton branch of the Labour Party, at its meeting last night, decided to send telegrams to the Russian and Czechoslovakian Legations. The first, to the Charge d’Affaires at the Soviet Legation, Wellington, read: “We strongly condemn Stalinist invasion of Czechoslovakia and demand immediate withdrawal.”
The second, to the Charge d’Affaires at the Czechoslovakian Legation, read: “Full solidarity with Socialist democracy in Czechoslovakia. We condemn Stalinist invasion.”
