Pay Increase Granted

WELLINGTON, August 19. Photo-engravers, except in Marlborough, will receive increases in minimum pay rates ranging from $1.04 to $1.50 a week under a new award retrospective to July 22. From today the new rates will have added to them the 5 per cent awarded by the Court of Arbitration in its general wage order on August 5 The increases for juniors and females range from 23c a week for those in their first six months to $1.23.
