OVERSEAS TRADING
SYDNEY The news that Great Boulder and Its partner North Kalgurli will begin production at Scotia had a bullish effect on nickel stocks yesterday. Great Boulder jumped from a last sale on Friday of 1780 c to a peak of 2004 c before closing at 1960 c. North Kalgurli is not quoted on the Sydney Exchange but recorded a sale of 1650 c in Melbourne at 3.34 p.m. Some Investors preferred to go for Loloma. a substantial shareholder in Great Boulder. Loloma put on 144 c to 750 c.
Ravensthorpe was also In demand with the shares gaining 55c to 400 c.
Norseman Gold was also eagerly sought wtth the shares reaching a peak of 1400 c before easing back to 1320 c which was a gain of 170 c on Friday’s closing price.

MELBOURNE The mihing market was firm with rises outnumbering falls, after the Great Boulder and North Kalgurli announcement to start a new nickel mine at Scotia. Great Boulder closed at 1980 c, up 210 c, North Kalgurli up 120 c to close at 1580 c. and Ldloma up 140 c to close at 750 c. C.R.A. hit a peak of 2360 c before closing at 2350 c. up 20c.
