Trough Given To Park

An old stone horse trough at the Christchurch Police Station will be presented to the Ferrymead Historic Park. The Civic Trust was told this at its meeting last evening after it had expressed concern that the watering trough, a relic of days when police horses were part of life in Christchurch, would be lost when the police station is demolished.
