Compassionate Flight
An Australian soldier is being flown home from Vietnam in an attempt to save his eight-year-old sister, who is critically ill with leukemia in Newcastle Hospital, New South Wales. Because there is such a close bond between the girl, Renee Hunter, and her brother. Gunner Robert Costello, doctors feel his return might rally her enough tor drugs to take effect so that she can be given a blood transfusion. —Canberra, Aug. 16.
