THE FIRST CONCORDE AIRLINER READY FOR TESTS.—The Concorde 001, France’s prototype of the British-French supersonic airliner, which will have its first ground-rolling tests this week. The trials will be held at Blagnac, near Toulouse, on a runway of two miles and a half, and will include practice turns and taxi ing at speeds up to 125 miles an hour. The Concorde 001 is expected to make its maiden flight in about 10 weeks, slightly ahead of the British version, Concorde 002.
