Vice-Regal The Governor-General (Sir Arthur Porritt) and Lady Porritt will arrive in Christchurch by air from Wellington about 4 p.m. on Monday, on a brief visit to the city, during which his Excellency will open the fourth biennial conference of the New Zealand Dental Association at the University of Canterbury.
Mr Justice Wilson, a resident judge in the Christchurch Supreme Court, will sit in the Auckland Supreme Court during the next fortnight Next week Mr Justice Perry, of Auckland, will sit in Christchurch. Mr B. Manson, of Invercargill, yesterday resigned from the presidency of the New Zealand Freezing Workers’ Association to take up a post as industrial officer of Fletcher Industries, Ltd, in Auckland. Last year Mr Manson spent five months overseas on an Imperial Relations Trust bursary. While in England he studied trade union education and industrial relations.
