Aid For Refugees
Sir,—The Government was right to withdraw further aid to the refugee fund, but, like other leaders of the democratic countries, It has been overruled by that great “master of ceremony” the United Nations, and its supporters. Refugees throughout the world are in the main the results of Comumnist activities which are carried out under cover of this organisation, and any protests or appeals from the Rev. R. M. O’Grady and his associates should be forwarded direct to the Sec retary-General of the United Nations and the Russian Prime Minister, who could do most to solve this problem. The fact that the Communist States contribute very little, if anything, to this fund is a good enough reason for refusing any further aid to a lost cause. The Government should use this money to assist the islanders who are in need of help, for after all is Mid and done, charity begins at home.—Yours, etc., L.G.W. August 16, 1968.
