Parliament’s Diary
After passing the five taxation bills, the House adjourned yesterday afternoon for a working recess which will end on September 4.
The annual reports of the Government Insurance Commissioner, the Mataura Licensing Trust, the Masterton Licensing Trust, and the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research were tabled.
The Criminal Justice Amendment Bill, Mental Health Bill, National Military Service Amendment Bill, and Municipal Corporations Amendment Bill were introduced, read a second time pro forma, and referred to the relevant committees.
