Long-Service Badges

(From Our Own Reporter) TIMARU, Aug. 16.

Long-service badges have ben presented to Mesdames K. Cantwell and A. Ellis, who joined the Kingsdown branch of the Women’s Division of Federated Farmers 34 years ago.

They received their awards from the president of the South Canterbury provincial executive (Mrs L. F. Baker). Mrs Ellis was treasurer in 1941 and secretary from 1939 to 1941. Between 1944 and 1946 she was president Mrs Cantwell was president of the branch in 1939, and vice-president in 1935, 1947, 1949, 1952-53, and in 1955.

Both are foundation members of the branch.
