GROCERY NOTES
The manufacturer* of St George products hare mtroduced two new meat products to their present range. One is beef steak casserale and the other is beef steak canerote flavoured with tomato.
These two meat packs contain high quality export grade beef and fresh vegetables. Both are packed tn a 16oz can. The suggested retail price for the plain beef casserole is 37c. The tomato flavoured variety bas a suggested retail price of SBc.
Worcester Saace.—The H.M. brand of piquant Worcester sauce was available in Christchurch many years ago. The H.M. firm was taken over by Bayward Bros. Ltd. which is now reintroducing this product to the Christchurch market. Many older citizens will remember this sauce. It will be packed in a lOoz bottle, with a suggested retail price of 23c.
Shanpao Shower Pack. —This new Laxeae product, manufactured by Reckitt and Colman (NJZ.), Ltd, is naw being released in Christcharrh. The unbreakable plastic pack in non-slip shape and with a captive clip top contains a minimum of 3joz of liquid Loxene medicated shampoo. The suggested retail price will be 60c.
Soy Sauce.—A mushroomflavoured soy sauce, packed under the Sunripe brand, is a newcomer to the market. It is packed in soz, lOoz and 20oz bottles with suggested retail prices of 27c. 39c and 66c respectively.
Tea Caddies. —The first of the range of tea in caddies for the Christmas trade is being released in Christchurch. A caddie of Bell tea will be in a 12oz pack instead of the familiar 16oz pack. The suggested retail price will be 72c.
