There was a good inquiry for New Zealand lamb on Smithfield market this week, the Meat Board reported. The recent pattern of improved prices continued for all grades. The main grade (prime 29/36 lb) was quoted at 27d to 28d per lb, or Id higher than last week.

Light pitchings of New Zealand mutton were also quoted at increased prices on last week.

The main grade of hogget (49/561b 1 was quoted at 17d to 17Jd per lb and wethers at 15d to 15jd per lb. Ewe mutton was quoted at I2d to 121 d per lb. Price Range
