WEST GERMANY TO BUILD BIGGER TANKERS.—The expansion of the slipway at this shipyard in Bremen will enable tankers with a capacity of 500,000 tons to be built The keel for the first 254,000-ton turbine tanker will be laid soon. The slipway is at present about 350 yards long and 72 yards wide, but it can quickly be converted to take larger ships.
