Bill Mummery, aged 42, a shop proprietor, was remanded on bail to Friday on a charge of receiving 138 watches valued at $4691.09 from Jeffrey Warren Smith when he knew thev had been dishonestly obtained. Detective Sergeant R. G. McMeeking said the police opposed bail for Carrington and Martin. Wayne Eder, aged 18, unemployed. was fined $2O on a charge of obstructing the footpath in Cathedral Square on Friday evening. He pleaded guilty. Ponty Witi Tihi, aged 19, a labourer, was fined $2O on a charge of using obscene language in a public place, the foyer of the Central Police Station, on Saturday. He pleaded guilty.
