MEAD’S 47th

The All Black lock, C. E. Meads, will add two more Rugby records to his impressive collection when he takes the field against France at Eden Park today. It will be his forty-seventh test, the most by any player for his country, and his twenty-ninth successive international appearance for New Zealand.

This will break the record run established by Meads's former captain, W. J. Whinerav, between 1957 and the 1963-64 tour.
