Course For Salesmen

An English barrister turned management consultant will this week conduct a workshop for salesmen in Christchurch, during which they will learn by playing. He is Mr O. Turner, of Osmond Turner, Ltd, a company which conducts sales management courses on an international level. Mr Turner was invited to conduct a course in Christchurch by the Institute of Management. He said yesterday an important part of the course would be playing a game in which salesmen would have to make decisions on information supplied to them. “The game is very realistic and and salesmen can see the results of the decisions they make,” he said. Mr Turner has been retained by the United Nations to teach sales techniques in developing countries and has spent much time recently in Australia where he is making films on selling.
