43-0 Victory To Dunedin

The Teachers’ Colleges annual winter tournament between Dunedin and Christchurch was dominated by Dunedin on the second and last day. The highlight was Dunedin s magnificent 43-0 win in the Rugby match. The visitors scored eight tries, by P. Keen (3), R. Fagan. A. Sutherland. K. Turner. G. Suddaby and M. Linwood. Sutherland kicked a field goal and the full-back. W. Wilson, kicked two penalties and five conversions.

Dunedin won the crosscountry, men’s indoor basketball, women’s indoor and outdoor basketball, while Christchurch had a comfortable victory in men’s hockey.

Second day results were: Cross-country: Dunedin 22. Christchurch 14. Men’s hockey: Christchurch 16. Dunedin 0. Men's indoor basketball; Dunedin 48, Christchurch 37. Women’s indoor basketball: Dunedin 50. Christchurch 25. Women’s outdoor basketball Dunedin 30, Christchurch 22.
