Commander In Vietnam

Lieutenant-Colonel K. C. Fenton, of the Royal New Zealand Engineers, will fly to Vietnam today to take command of Headquarters, V Force. He replaces Lieuten-ant-Colonel R. H. Smith of the Royal New Zealand Artillery. Colonel Fenton, who is from Lower Hutt, served in the Second New Zealand Ex-

peditionary Force in Italy as a platoon commander. From 1945 to 1946, he served in Japan. He was made Chief Engineer of the New Zealand Army in 1964, a post he held until last year when he went to the United States to attend a course at the Armed Services Staff College, Norfolk. Virginia.
