Governor Hurt
The Governor-Gen-eral (Sir Arthur Porritt) will probably have his leg in plaster for a week to two weeks after injuring it at the Hanmer Springs golf course. Late on Saturday morning Sir Arthur Porritt slipped on icy ground when teeing off, and he tore a muscle in his right thigh. He was treated at the Queen Mary Hospital. Dr P. V. Graves, the area medical officer, said Sir Arthur Porritt had suffered a partial rupture of the quadraceps tendon.
