(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter —Copyright) LOS ANGELES. A 16-year-old Californian schoolboy on Saturday reduced by almost 2sec the 400 metres men’s medley world record. G. Hall, swimming the event in 4min 43.45ec, broke a record set only two weeks before by another Californian, G. Buckingham, who clocked 4min 45.1 sec.
