Fifth Title For City
Christchurch City has won the Hurley Shield soecer competition for the fifth successive year. The club setled the issue when it drew, 4-4, with Cash-mere-Wanderers on Saturday. City has 21 points from 11 matches, and although each elub In the competition has one more match to play. It cannot bo caught. City leads by three 6olnts from High School Old oys. Before the start of the southern league this season, the City first team won the Hurley Shield for four successive years. This season Its Second team has carried off the trophy. Halswell has also made certain of winning the second division championship. It has a lead of five points over Rangers and Burndale, which each has two matches to play.
