Clash With Guerrillas

(N Z.P A.-Reuter—Copyright) SALISBURY, July 21. Rhodesian security forces, supported by South African police units, today battled against a fresh invasion of African nationalist guerrillas from the north, in the second major incursion into Rhodesia in four months. The security forces, fighting in the winter-dry areas of the Zambesi Valley, report killing 12 guerrillas in the latest clashes, which began about three days ago. The African “freedom fighters,” thought to have come from training posts in Zambia, say they have killed 15 members of the security forces. The Rhodesians say they have lost one man killed and three wounded —all South A'ricans.

Fighting is believed centred in the Churundu border post area, where the Zambesi pushes north from Lake Kariba.
