Study Of Dental Schools
In Wellington for six months under a Colombo Plan award, Dr K. Sukhon is studying the training of student dental nurses and is attached to the staff of the School for Dental Nurses, Wellington. Dr Sukhon will spend most of her time in Wellington, but later will visit the school for dental nurses in Auckland and Christchurch, when her term of study terminates towards the end of November. Dr Sukhon has been appointed principal of the Schoo! tor Dental Nunes (Health Training Centre) Cholburi. Thailand, which is at preMnt being built Until her present appointment she had been working In the School Health Division of the Department of Health. Bangkok. She obtained her dental degree at the School of Dentistry, Bangkok, and waa for 18 months at the University of Toronto, Canada, studying for a Diploma in Dental Public Health and observing the dental hygiene course. Her busband is a bank officer in Bangkok. Dr G. JL Leslie, Director of the Division of Dental Health. Department of Health, Wellington, baa been In Bangkok as a World Health OrganiMtion consultant to the Government of Thailand. Dr Leslie, who recently returned to Wellington, advised and assisted the Thai Government to establish the new School for Dental Nurses at Cholburi, which will be pat, terned on Now Zealand's school.
