The ability to undertake creative designing in the women's and children's medium grade field is essential. In this he will be guided and assisted by an active marketing and selling organisation and a co-operative factory management. He will also be called on to assist management in range building and sample production, the development of new lasts and to supervise and direct the existing pattern-making section. DUTIES: The Statistician is in charge of the handling and analysis of the data and is expected to participate in the planning and design of all projects. Collaboration with other workers in the animal production field is encouraged. The use of an electronic computer is available. Collection of data is not involved. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE. A graduate in science, arts, agricultural science or in appropriate disciplines with interest and ability in statistical analysis of survey data. Formal university training in mathematics and statistics would be an advantage as also would some association with biological science. Applications will be considered from statisticians of proven ability and experience who are not graduates. SALARY: Salary will be appropriate to the appointee’s qualifications and experience and will be reviewed annually.
