EXPLOSION WRECKS RAILWAY CARRIAGES.—An elderly woman was fatally injured and 18 other persons were admitted to hospital when two carriages of a train were wrecked by an explosion at Rooty Hill, 26 miles west of Sydney, this week. The photograph shows the interior of one of the carriages. Parts of demolished seats have been flung on to the luggage racks. According to a police statement, the damage was caused by the explosion of a big cylinder of oxyacetylene standing on a trolley beside the railway line.
