How To Send A Problem
Readers wishing to use the Gardeners’ Queries service are reminded that all specimens sent for identification, either of the subject or of a pest or disease, should be fully representative, and include at least two examples. Where recognition of the subject is desired flower and/or fruit should accompany the specimen if possible. Failing this, a description would be of help. Specimens should be of reasonable size and well wrapped in moss, damp cotton wool, or put in a polythene bag to ensure arrival in sound condition.
All relevant detail such as sprays used, aspect, soil type and position of specimen on plant should be given with all queries. Every endeavour will be made to answer all queries, but replies may sometimes be delayed. No personal correspondence can be entered into, nor can specific advice be given as to where items can be purchased. All queries should be posted to M. Lusty, South Belt, Lincoln.
