Spectator Arrangements
Special arrangements have been made to help spectators enter Lancaster Park for the Rugby test on Saturday, with little delay and inconvenience. Spectators are asked to co-operate by following the directions given below. Children: Admission to the boys’ enclosure at the south end of the embankment, by ticket or cash (20 cents), is through the Lismore Street gate only, which will be open from midday to 2.15 p.m. Adults will not be admitted through the Lismore Street gate. Two special turnstiles have been provided at the Stevens Street entrance for children only, and they will pay their admission fee without the necessity of having to buy a
ticket as has been the case for previous big matches. Children may also enter the embankment through the Talfourd Place turnstiles after buying a ticket at the change window. Embankment: Sixteen turnstiles are available at the main entrance in Stevens Street Access to the embankment may be gained from the temporary raceway in front and by stairways at the rear. The piped raceways on the embankment itself should be kept clear to avoid congestion. Reserved seat ticket holders (including 25 and 20-year members): Holders are asked to arrive early and to follow the directions set out below. (a) Enter the park by the following entrances only:—
Stands 1 and lA.—Gate B (behind No. 1 Stand—
through cycle enclosure). Stands 2 and 2A.—Gate C or D (Wilsons Road). Stands 3,3 A, 4,4 A, and 5. Gate D (Wilsons Road). Stand 6.—Gate A (Stevens Street). Open Oval Seats.—Gate A (Stevens Street). These directions are printed on the back of all reserved seat tickets. (b) Patrons with seats in stands 1 and 3 should enter by the stairway nearest to their seats. Signs are erected at the entrance to each stairway at the rear of those stands, showing numbers of the seats serviced by such stairways.
