Fire Destroys Cottage
(From Our Own Reporter) TIMARU, July 11. An Army holiday cottage at Lake Tekapo was razed by fire on Tuesday night Volunteer firemen, residents and airmen were helpless because the water for the fire-fighting appliances was frozen in the pipes. Expensive radio apparatus and personal equipment were destroyed. The building was occupied by a detachment from Wigram. The cause of the fire is not known.
