TESTS IN PACIFIC

Suspended H-bombs (N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) PARIS, July 10. France may explode two hydrogen bombs during its current tests in the Pacific, informed sources in Paris said today. The H-bombs will probably not be tested until the second half of August, or even later, depending on atmospheric conditions. The bombs will be hung beneath balloons released to an altitude of only a few hundred yards, and fixed there by three cables anchored to the ground, so that the radioactive fall-cut in the immediate area will be held to a minimum.

The testing period began last Sunday with the explosion of an atomic triggering device for the H-bombs.
