Fellmongers Award

Increases of 2 cents to 2 5 cents an hour have been granted to fellmongers in the Canterbury district in a new award granted by the Court of Arbitration to take effect from July 1.

The minimum rate of pay for youths has been increased by 80 cents a week, and for all those aged more than 19 the minimum weekly rate has also been increased by 80 cents. Where a shift begins after noon or before 7 a.m. the allowance has been increased slightly to 68 cents.
