Praise For Teachers
f.v.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. The role that school teachers play in the fostering of Rugby was praised at the meeting of the New Zealand Rugby Union council in Blenheim. At a meeting of the council in April, when a discussion was held on schoolboy Rugby, a statement was made to which several speakers objected. The council passed a special resolution. It read: "The council unanimously resolves that the objectors be advised that the New Zealand Rugby Union is aware of and greatly appreciates the work done for Rugby football in New Zealand by members of the teaching profession and looks forward to their continued goodwill.”
