Dr Craven Replies

(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter —Copyright) STELLENBOSCH. The criticism of refereeing in Saturday’s drawn Rugby international between the British Lions and the Springboks had been exaggerated, Dr Danie Craven, president of the South African Rugby Board, said yesterday. Dr Craven said that most of the allegations made about the refereeing were unfounded, and added: “Whether they come from us or the Lions, they should be left to die a quick death. “The game of Rugby is greater than us or these controversies, and that should guide us in all matters pertaining to the present tour.”
