Canterbury.—Light or moderate variable winds; cloudy at times, especially in coastal areas, but otherwise fine and rather cool. Marlborough and Nelson.—Moderate to fresh southerlies developing in exposed places about Cook Strait, otherwise light winds; becoming cloudy; moderate afternoon temperatures.
Buller and Westland. —Light or moderate variable winds; cloudy at times; isolated showers about the ranges; moderate afternoon temperatures.
Outlook.—All districts: Cloudy.
