N.Z. Woolpack Set-back
New Zealand Woolpack and Textiles, Ltd, Foxton, suffered a further sharp profit decline in the year to December 31, 1967, with consolidated net profit down by $21,600 or 35.4 per cent to $39,466.
This fails to cover the steady 8 per cent dividend which requires $40,001. Earning rate on the steady $500,013 capital fell from 12.2 to 7.1 per cent. The latest profit fall was the third in succession after a peak of $87,414 in 1964.
