Minesweeper For Sale

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, June 10. The Bathhurst-class minesweeper, H.M.N.Z.S. Stawell, is being offered for sale by the Government Stores Board. Last year a scrap firm bought and scrapped its sister ship, the Echuca. The 1000-ton ship is one of four of its class given tn New Zealand by the Australian Government in 1952. The two still in service, are the training ship, Inverell, and the fisheries protection craft, Kiama.
