AUCKLAND, May 13. The Auckland Regional Authority's survey, which showed that many of its local bodies favoured a Waitangi Day holiday, will be referred to the Government

This was decided today by the authority's policy and finance committee, which was told that 56 of the 73 local bodies in the province favoured the change, 11 were against a change from the existing anniversary holiday on January 29, three did not reply, and three had no comment, preference or conclusion.
