Templeton Dispute
Sir,—The extension of the ban on non-nursing duties to Templeton Hospital demonstrates the insincerity of the whole movement, for domestic work there is carried out by patients who-are fit to work, and who fire particularly suited to such duties. On the male side, at least, the cleanlinbss of the villas and surrounding areas is of a far higher standard than that of hospitals served by commer cial cleaners. <ln most villas there is little real nursing, be cause the patients are not ill As a member of the Public Service Association at Templeton for two and a half years, I received no notices of meetings, no copies of the journal, and no opportunities to tote The hospitals section of -that union is notorious for agitation and destructive tactics—a sufficiently irritating tail , to wag the somnolent P.S.A. body with ease.—Yours, etc., VARIAN J.
