iN Z Press Association) WANGANUI, May 12. Three Wanganui contractors have combined to supply about two million cubic feet of logs for Japan. The trio, Messrs I. Loader, J. McCarthy and A. Dicker, have pooled their men and machinery to form the West Ccast Logging Company. The job, which could last nine months, is the biggest log recovery contract in the lower North Island. The logs will be cut from the Tangimoana and Santoft State forest areas, which were devastated by gales last month. They will go by road to Marton and then by rail to Napier the loading port.
