Flags Lowered In Schools

(N.Z.P A.'Reuter-Copyright) DJAKARTA, May 12. Indonesian troops today broke into a Djakarta school and seized a flag which students had lowered to half mast as part of a protest against price increases. The incident took place when about 10,000 students boycotted their classes for the third day in succession. School flags were lowered to half mast as “a token of mourning for the people’s sufferings.” The students say the protest will continue until the Government grants them transport and other subsidies. The protest has resulted from a recent Government decision to raise fuel and transport prices to avert a threatened budget deficit
