Rate Arrears Payment

New housing areas al Hornby and Islington accounted for a substantial part of the $18,592 outstanding on unpaid rates, the County Clerk (Mr A. Kelly) told the Paparua County Council last evening. “There has been a noticeable increase in the amount of unpaid rates," said Mr Kelly. “At March 31 last year, the figure was $13,557.” The council adopted a recommendation by Mr Kelly that those in arrears be asked to pay $lO a month off their arrears.
