CYCLING

Two New I Selectors

Two of the three national selectors will not be available for re-election at the annual meeting of the Amateur Cycling Association next month. They are the convener, Mr D. B. Smith (Otaki), and Mr L. E. Tall (Invercargill). The third selector, Mr J. W. Partridge (Auckland), is standing again and has been nominated by several centres. This surprise announcement has left centres unprepared. Canterbury, for example, nominated the entire panel, but may now consider trying to get a national selector from Canterbury. Mr B. E. Dawe, a national vice-president. has been nominated unsuccessfully in the past and may be asked to stand again.
