Mr P. Tait, Mayor of Napier, was elected president of the Municipal Association yesterday.—(P.A.) Mr N. F. Roberts, director of the Wool Research Organisation, will leave this month on a two months trip overseas. He will attend a meeting of the International Wool Textile Organisation at Montreux, Switzerland, towards the end of this month and a meeting of the research and development committee of the International Wool Secretariat at Ilkley, Yorkshire, next month. On his way to Montreux, .Mr Roberts will visit the South African Wool Textile Research Institute. During his trip ha will study developments which may increase the demand for New Zealand wool.
