SEAWEED AT OAMARU
Bulldozing To Be Tried (N.Z. Press Association) OAMARU, May 1. An experiment aimed at removing some of the seaweed from Oamaru’s foreshore will begin as soon as possible. At a meeting in Oamaru this morning officials of local bodies, the Ministry of Works and the Secretary of Marine (Mr R. N. Kerr) decided to bulldoze the weed into the sea opposite the gasworks, half a mile north of the harbour installation. to see if the action of the sea would remove it.
