Car Exports Boom In U.K.
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) LONDON, April 25.
Britain produced more cars for export during March than in any month on record. Devaluation gave the added boost and export production surged past the March, 1967, figure by almost 80 per cent to 93,259 units. All the largest car manufacturers are reported to be working flat out to meet overseas demand. Ford of Great Britain has taken on an extra 3000 workers since December, and all its factories are working 25 per cent overtime.
