Forecast: Canterbury—Moderate to fresh southerly winds tending easterly; some scattered showers at first about Banks Peninsula; elsewhere cloudy but some sunny periods developing; cool. Marlborough. Southerly winds strong in coastal areas but slowly decreasing; cloudy about the coast with some showers, elsewhere fine with moderate temperatures.
