Rover 3500 Assembly
A LTHOUGH production of Rover 3500 V 8 will initially be limited to the British market, if there are sufficient licences available vehicles will be imported knocked down and will be assembled in Nelson, the Leyland Motor Corporation of New Zealand, Ltd, has announced. The new model, which was announced last week, is the
! Rover 2000 bodyshell fitted I with the alloy VS engine also ■ used to power the Rover 3.5- . litre. ! The engine produces 184 I b.h.p., and gives the new s model 85 per cent more power ■ than the standard Rover 2000 F and 47 per cent more power ; than the Rover 2000 TC. Only automatic transmission will ;be available in the Rover i 3500.
